Covid Safe Rules for Northside Farm
We are so pleased to be able to welcome you to Northside Farm and be able to open our doors again after 3 months. In order to make sure that we can open safely we have under taken rigours risk assessments and we need to make you aware of our policy rules for our guests staying with us.
It is the responsibility of the person who made the booking to make sure that each member of their party have read this rules and to email us prior to arrival to confirm that you have read and understand them, so please read these through thoroughly and share them with the rest of your party.
If you have made a booking with us and before you stay you or any member of your household come down with any of the Covid-19 symptoms or you have been contacted through the track and trace system and been asked to isolate, you must not travel or come to Northside Farm. Please contact us at your earliest convenience to inform us and we will either rebook your stay or send you a credit voucher for the cost of your stay for you to use for up to 18 months from your original booking date.
We will be operating a contactless check in. Your wigwam will be ready for you from 2pm on the day of arrival, you will not have access to your wigwam before that time and we ask that you do not arrive on site before 2pm. If you do arrive early we ask that you stay in your car this is so we can make sure we have completed our deep clean and safety checks and make sure that our cleaning team are safe.
On arrival please park your car in the wigwam car park, the key to your wigwam will be in the wigwam door ready for you and there is a map in the car park which will show you where your wigwam is.
Each wigwam has an outdoor water tap, firepit and picnic bench please only use the ones allocated to your wigwam and do not move the picnic tables or firepits.
Only firewood purchased from Northside Farm may be used on the firepits all firewood packs must be ordered and paid for before arrival. They will be ready in your wigwam when you arrive.You must observe 1m+ distancing between yourself and anybody else who is not in your household. There is plenty of space in the wigwam paddock for ball games and to spread out and maintain social distancing.
Well behaved dogs are welcome at Northside Farm, however dogs must be on leads at all time and must never be left in a Wigwam on their own. For hygiene purposes and for the courtesy of other guests, dogs are not allowed in the any bathrooms with the exception of guide dogs. It is your responsibility to pick up and dispose of any excrement your dog leaves we have a big bin in the car park which you can safely dispose of this.
We have 4 family wet rooms that are shared facilities between the 10 wigwams. Therefore each guests must show consideration to hygiene rules we have in place in order to make your stay as safe and as enjoyable as possible.
The bathrooms will be shut every day between 11am-12pm this is to allow our cleaning team to do a through deep clean, there will be no access to toilet facilities during this hour. Throughout the day bathrooms will be shut off for extra cleaning but there will be access to the other bathrooms during this time.
There is a hand sanitising station located in front of the bathrooms, you are required to sanitise your hand on entering and leaving the bathrooms. The front door of the bathrooms will be pinned open and must not be shut. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times while using the bathrooms. There is hand wash in every bathroom and we encourage our guests to regularly wash their hands during their stay with us. On the bench in the corridor of the bathrooms there will be a cleaning spray/ wipes and it is the responsibility of our guests to wipe down/spray the surfaces of the bathroom after every use. There is a bin in the corridor of the bathrooms please dispose of any wipes/roll in that bin as we have a treatment plant and disposing of anything other than toilet roll down the toilet will cause blockages.
At the moment we are unsure what the position is regarding sharing a communal kitchen so we will be locking it until we have further clarification. However we are working on a system that would allow our guests to enjoy the facilities and as soon as we are able to open it we will inform you.
Children are allowed to play on the play equipment but must observe social distancing and the guidelines set out by the government, We request that children wash their hands before and after using the equipment. Children must be supervised at all times on the equipment and it is parents duty to ensure that their children are adhering to the rules.Check out
Please leave your key in the door of your wigwam. Check out is strictly 11am and guests must be off site by then. This is to ensure that our cleaning team can safely enter the site and make sure they have the time to thoroughly deep clean before our next guests arrive.Developing Symptoms during your stay.
If you or any member of your party develop symptoms during your stay with us it is important to contact us as soon as possible on 07734756839, this is so that we can act fast to inform other guests that may have come into contact with you.
We will then ask you to pack up all your belongings and head home as soon as you possibly can without using any of the communal facilities.
Groups and Families
It would be very helpful for us to know if you are staying as part of a group or family booking, this will then help us to allocate people to wigwams and bathrooms as well as use of other facilities should be need to introduce other measures in future.
These rules sound strict but we hope you understand that this is for the safety of all out guests and staff and we are following the guidelines in order to reopen and let our guests back on the farm to enjoy a break away which I am sure is much needed.
